Attention all members!

Team Promotion's All Revved Up event is happening on June 13th in the Lightning Paddock.  We will be adding another practice day on that Saturday.  I'm not sure which course configuration yet.  The best part about this event is that who ever is participating in our practice day that day will have the opportunity to take their mini onto the full size Lightning course for a Parade lap at lunch time.  This is a great chance to see first hand what a world class race track looks and feels like.  Let me know ahead of time if you are interested in participating in the Parade lap so I can make the necessary arrangements.  Dads and Moms, if you have a motorcycle and you would like to ride alongside your son or daughter on a real race track, NOW's YOUR CHANCE!

Looks like a scheduling snafu... Huh? Angry

The track has not made arrangements for us to be able to practice on this date even though we are part of the All Revved up Event.  I'll keep everyone posted.  We will still be there exhibiting and we will still be able to ride the Lightning course for the parade lap, Parents and Kids as long as enough of you show up.  We would love to have a huge showing.  Let me know so I can make arrangements.

OK we are back on...

Team Promotion is giving us the Stunt area (pretty big) to set-up a small track for the kids and adults on smaller bikes.  We will be in the middle of the event with spectators and everything.  I need a huge showing of kids for this to really make our club stand out as the premier club.  We will be running at least 5 fifteen minute practice sessions each day not including the lap around the Lightning course.  We will most likely charge $60 for two days of practice, access to multiple stunt shows, and the ability to watch quite a few races on the Lighting course.  This offer is only to our club members, but we will open both days up to anyone who wants to try it out.  Price will be $60 each day for non-members.  This is going to be "off the hook" (as they say).  We are also trying to get Racing World (new magazine) to show up for interviews with any kids that are riding those days.  Each kid will get coverage in the magazine and will have the opportunity to be the one that the magazine follows throughout our racing season with a picture spread and possible YouTube commercial.  So pretty everything up people.  The public is going to be watching.  Call your friends and lets get them to try this out and witness all aspects of road raing all in one weekend.  Families are more than welcome.  We will set-up a preregistration on-line.  Spots are limited so be quick to pre-register.  I will send a newsletter to announce registration is open.  We may actually have to limit bike size due to the track size being smaller, but I'll keep everyone posted on that.  Rentals will be available that day with a per session price still to be determined.

So we are not going to be on the gocart track? I just bought a mini today and was all psyced for this even to try my new 85 out. You would think NJMP would want to showcase your mini events to boost numbers in front of all the sportbike guys. I was going to back out of overtime to ride the event but it it's not on the kart track I;ll probably just work the overtime. Oh and ryan you don't have to worry about me renting your 85 any more Grin

Ryan,

Called the track today and they said we needed to get you a list of people in our pit crew so you can provide them with a list of people that get in with the riders fees.  Do you want us to send the list of crew members to the info@njminigp.com or post them up?

Thanks,
Marc

Send them to info@njminigp.com.  It would be great if you could bring the pocketbikes as well.  They look cool and we may be able to soften the track up to the idea.  Did you talk to the F1 karting track or the main office?

Everyone,
If you dont let me know exactly who's coming, you will most likely be charged for a ticket for each person and still have to pay our $60 rider fee.

I talked with the main office.  She said it's $60 for the rider and their pit crew and $60 to camp for the weekend.  I'm sending you the information now...NOTE: Kids under 12, not racing, are free.

I'll bring the pocketbike...maybe they will let him run the track for a couple of laps during one of the practice sessions.

What kinda gearing will be necessary on this track?

Ryan do you think we could put something together with Jason Britton and Tony Carbahal with Speed? Maybe a spot on Superbikes?
It would be cool to get them out on the track, possibly a quick session during the Kart clubs lunch break. I'd let either one of them tear it up on my KX 65 if they need to be seen on Kawasaki's, and I'm sure we could gather up at least 3-4 more KX's.
That's the kind of exposure we need!!! Wink Have Billy talk to Scott and get it done Shocked
